Top Italian cocktail-making Liqueur, Amaro Montenegro, has demonstrated strong support for entrepreneurship growth in Nigeria.
The business supported Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration Project Lagos of Our Dream (LOUD) vocational initiative latest edition which produced hundreds of entrepreneurs and graduates on 11th September 2024.
The support delivered by the Italian brand includes the presentation of cocktail blenders to graduates of the Mixology class and the provision of products to support the activities of Mixologists.
The Project LOUD initiative focuses on equipping youth in Lagos with vocational skills that are useful for creating jobs, expanding economic activities, and reducing unemployment in the state.
Speaking through a representative at the graduation ceremony, Sanwo-Olu said the investment in Project LOUD demonstrates a deep commitment to a shared vision of raising more entrepreneurs, creating jobs, and improving the economy.
He promised the state would scale investment in the project to deepen its impact.
Fidelis Egbochie, the Chief Executive Officer of Fidossi Wines & Spirits (FWS), the distributor of Amaro Montenegro Bitters in Nigeria, congratulated the graduates of the latest edition of the initiative.
He said: “We are proud of the commitment you have demonstrated in going through the classes to put yourself in a position to create jobs and support the economy.
“The training you have received will be useful as you go out there to engage in valuable economic activities.”

He explained further that the Mixology profession is seeing strong growth with a rise in demand for cocktail premium drinks. Research reveals that over one in four On-Premise premium drink enthusiasts engage with cocktails. Hence, as demand for cocktails expands, the Mixology profession will become more and more prominent.
He promised Amaro Montenegro would support Mixologists across all levels by making its brands available and working with some of them.
Amaro Montenegro Bitters is made from a secret blend of 40 botanicals, including vanilla, orange peels, and eucalyptus.
The amaro was first produced by Stanislao Cobianchi in 1885 and was originally called Elisir Lungavita. In 1896, it was renamed Amaro Montenegro, after Princess Elena of Montenegro who married Crown Prince Victor Emmanuel, the future King Victor Emmanuel III of Italy. Top Italian brand, Vecchia Romagna (VR) 1820, has sponsored Governor Olusola Sanwo-Olu’s empowerment initiative for a third consecutive edition. A graduation ceremony was held for the latest graduates of the initiative on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere.
Tagged Project LOUD (Lagos of Our Dream), the initiative equips youth in Lagos with vocational skills in fashion design, hair-dressing, mixology, make-up, digital marketing, shoe making and catering amongst others. VR 1820 empowered top students from the mixology class with robot cocktail blenders to kickstart their careers. Vecchia Romagna (VR) 1820, a top Italian brand, has reinforced its position in the wines and spirits market. The brand sponsored the Project LOUD (Lagos of Our Dream) initiative, a Gov. In commemoration of the International Day of the Girl Child (IDG), Fidossi wines & spirits Limited, the distributor of Vecchia Romagna Brandy in Nigeria, has given its weight behind the girl child empowerment. The firm is advocating the removal of the barriers impeding the proper development of the girl child in the country.
The business supported the screening of ‘Radio Girl’, a powerful girl-child advocacy themed movie that tells the compelling story of a brave young lady who stood up against the injustices and barriers preventing the full development of girls in the country.
The movie screening, according to a statement which took place in Abuja recently, had in attendance diplomats, top business executives and representatives of various arms of government.
